and Fixing Painful Muscular Imbalances

Press Release Body:
Surrey, BC – Thursday, September 11, 2008 – Whether you are an athlete, dancer,
fitness enthusiast, or someone who exercises for good health, efficient joint motion
is essential to your success. Often due to chronic sitting, inactivity or excessive
driving one, will develop painful muscular imbalances. Muscular imbalances are when
the muscle shortens due awkward posture, inactivity or injury. This shortening
decreases the efficiency of how the body moves, increases ones risk to injury and
often leads to painful muscles. MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) is a systematic
approach which identifies and treats muscular imbalances that lead to inefficient
function, pain and injury. This weekend, Rick Kaselj, a local Registered
Kinesiologist, is hosting the MAT course in order to educate personal trainers and
Registered Kinesiologist on how they can assess muscular imbalance and use MAT to
eliminate them.
